Welcome to Cursed Fate. This is a club dedicated to Mordred of Camelot.

Not familiar with the Mordred story?
Mordred was the offspring of King Arthur and his sister, Morgause. The wizard Merlin predicted that the boy would be born on May Day, and was fated to kill his father. Faced with little choice, Arthur sent all the male babies born on that day out to sea in a small boat, hoping to rid himself of the curse.
Mordred survived and was raised by fisherfolk near the coast, until the sorceress Nyneve found him. She brought him to his mother, where he was raised until leaving for Camelot, and becoming a knight of the Round Table. All Mordred wants is his father to love him, but the general populace is scared to detah of him.

Okay, now that you understand who Mordred is, you can move on. ^^

History of the Club:
After reading 'I am Mordred: A Tale From Camelot' by Nancy Springer (which really is an AWESOME book), ~leeann and ~byakko decided that they wanted to start a club to promote their love of Mordred and share it with everyone else who was a fan of the Camelot tales. One day they even hope to create a network of Camelot clubs on DA. But, thats still a long way off.

Rules
You must be a fan of Mordred. You don't have to be as die-hard as LeeAnn is (Even a passing interest is fine!), but that's a given.
You must follow How to Joing guidelines, or you won't be allowed in!
Participating in contests (if we have any) isn't mandatory, but encouraged!
That's about it!

How To Join
Send a note to the club (comments will end up being easy to overlook!), saying that you want to join. The subject should just be something simple like 'Joining', but that isn't a big deal.
Once we recieve your note, we'll add you to the list of members.

After you join, make sure to put the club icon in your journal/signature. ^^ Either is fine. For the icon to appear you need to type

: iconcursed-fate : -except without the spaces.

Then, it'll look like this:


Contests Etc.
We don't have any contests yet, however, once we get enough members, we definitely will. New designs for the icon and ID are always appreciated.

Alright! First update of the new year! We have our first official member (and a new affiliate)! ~dtn deserves a cookie!
Anyways, more important news. When I can talk to bya next, we may decide to rennovate the club into something different. at least, that's my idea.
A club for klutzy people? Possibly.
